Vapor Wake Canines

"Vapor Wake" detection is the next generation in the development of detector dog capability. These extraordinary detector dogs are available through our close relationship with the Auburn University School of Veterinary Medicine, Canine Detection Institute.

Vapor Wake dogs are specially bred and rigorously reared and screened for the high performance potential essential to meet the extremely challenging demands of this new level of highly mobile detection capability. Vapor Wake canines are "always on"; trained to constantly sample the air for explosive vapor or particles and once detected, proactively track the scent "wake" back to its source.

Vapor Wake teams undergo months of demanding training together and remain as a unit throughout their operational lifetime. Vapor Wake technology is highly effective and uniquely suited for screening wide area, high pedestrian traffic scenarios such as building entrances/common areas, transportation hubs and sports/concert venues.

Conventional Explosive Detection Canines

Conventional detector dogs are the foundation canine based chemical detection and are well suited to a wide range of explosive countermeasure applications including screening of pedestrians, facilities, vehicles, cargo, freight and luggage. Conventional detector dogs are trained to sample at the direction of the handler and so are more point sensors than their wide area "Vapor Wake" colleagues.
